2009 Hurricane Season Forecast–Atlantic Basin

With the hurricane season off to a slow start, it might be a good time to review the hurricane forecasts for the Atlantic basin in 2009–from various sources.

A weather blog from a Houston television station (weatherblog.abc13.com) compiled the original forecasts for the season from various sources, ranging from government to private forecasting companies. 

The greatest number of tropical storms was forecast by a UK company (Tropical Storm Risk), and the highest number of hurricanes was forecast by AccuWeather.
