I know. I know. After posting the information about the possible connection between October snow cover in Siberia and a cold winter in the northeastern United States (Cold in the Northeast This Winter–Look to Siberia), I promised to do some follow-up posts–and I only did one, and it was incomplete due to difficulty in getting data from that region (Siberia Snow–Northeast Cold).
My official excuse for the lack of updates is that it’s no longer October, and while that’s not bad, the unofficial excuse is that I haven’t thought to take a look at it recently.
Have no fear, Steve is here–and when I say Steve, I mean Steve of Weather Talk; he wrote a post about the growing snow cover in the northern hemisphere recently. Please see Northern Hemisphere Snow Cover Update for the latest on the southward push of winter.
Oh, it’s coming…
Thanks, Steve!
